On November 1st, Vancouver hosted a gathering of Canada’s Top 100 athletes at the 2025 RBC Training Ground National Final. Surrounded by RBC Training Ground alumni and RBC Olympians, athletes tested their skills with the goal of being identified as an RBC Future Olympian by National Sport Organization (NSO) scouts.
Today, the Top 35 will receive funding and dedicated support as they continue their pursuit of representing Team Canada.
The support provided by RBC is more than financial, as athletes will receive mentorship from RBC Olympians, coaching from NSOs and resources to assist them in the transition into high performance sport. They’ll be in good company too, surrounded by a network of peers – all training towards reaching the same Olympic dream.

They were once in the shoes of this year’s Top 35.
As we forge ahead, we can’t wait to follow and be a part of these Future Olympian stories. This crop of athletes is poised to write incredible chapters built on drive, grit and passion. For some a Top 35 nomination was earned on the first try, while for others this was the second or third attempt at National Final competition.

For many, RBC Training Ground funding support is the confirmation that they have what it takes:
“I competed at two National Finals, the first in Halifax in 2024, and the second in Vancouver – and I came back stronger this time. To be scouted by multiple sports and to get to choose the one that intensifies my love for sport, is what makes it all worth it. To have the title of RBC Future Olympian is an honour. It makes me believe in my potential and want to keep chasing my future.”
–Duncan Gaunt, 2025 RBC Future Olympian, Edmonton, AB.
“Competing at the National Final and being named a Future Olympian gives me the confidence that my goals and dreams can come true. Access to funding and Team Canada coaching support is exactly what I need to take that step towards qualifying for an Olympic games one day. I’m more determined than ever to make it happen.”
–Marius Bélisle, 2025 RBC Future Olympian, Magog, QC.
“Competing at RBC Training Ground this year was an incredible experience. It was inspiring to be surrounded by so many successful Olympic athletes and a hundred other future Olympians all chasing the same dream under one roof. This RBC program is run exceptionally well, and the support it provides genuinely allows athletes like me to focus fully on training and pushing our limits.“
–Henrik Neuspiel, 2025 RBC Future Olympian, Ottawa, ON.

Drue Nooyen of Calgary breaks Kelsey Mitchell’s National Final record on the watt bike (left) and gets the opportunity to celebrate the performance with former record holder and Olympic Champion, Kelsey Mitchell (right).
For Drue Nooyen, program alumni like Kelsey Mitchell are the inspiration that helped pull together a best ever performance on the day.
The pathway to Team Canada isn’t always linear and in fact it may take a few tries to find your sport. After getting her start in soccer and being identified by Cycling Canada in 2017, Kelsey competed at 2 Olympics (Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024) and became an Olympic Champion along the way.
Now, she’s now pushing her limits even further, this time on a bobsleigh track, eyeing a spot on Team Canada in 2026. She’s a shining example of how unlocking your potential can lead to greatness – and there are multiple paths to get there.
Join us in celebrating these Top 35 Future Olympians as they move closer to achieving their Team Canada dreams.
